First, I must apologize to everyone for not updating things since the 8th... it is obvious that this will not be a daily blog, hopefully it'll be weekly but occasionally there's a bad week not to be shared... it's just that bad. I digress!
This past weekend had a few milestones on both sides of our family! Our oldest niece, Megan, turned 16 and we spent an enjoyable afternoon celebrating with carrot cake and ice cream in the Akron area! Our youngest niece, Joy, made her first Reconciliation on Saturday! On the drive to and from the birthday party I was thinking about those days... while trying to catch up on my reading... I was wondering what Joy would possibly confess?!! Then I was trying to remember what I confessed... surprisingly I do remember... I believe I also confessed it to the priest that con celebrated our wedding. I know he's the priest that gave me first Communion... I actually remember that event more than my 16th birthday... I know when Mike was 16 and taking a driving test it was at Puritas ... many of you know our age difference, but think of this... I was in the first grade right across the street from him taking his driving test!
Things that make you go Hmmm...
What do you all remember about first Reconciliation or turning 16... or do you remember???
In other areas... we've headed back to the Rec center after a bit of a lull... I've been able to get there in the early afternoon right after work... so I'm finding myself working out with the "Q tips" and a lot of them are wearing I Pods... last week I was in such a hurry to get to the Rec after work and into the Apt that I accidentally left my lunch box in the trunk of the car... til yesterday! Well the good thing is I've been drinking a lot more water and less pop... this is also the bad thing with how the temps have been of the freezing nature! The lunch box had a very explosive pop! At least it wasn't my muscles! The good thing about our Rec center is that it's located really close to the fire dept and ambulances... they actually share a parking lot... and the hospital is right up the street. They had to call the fire rescue today for someone... I have to say the response time is very good! Although I hope i never have to test it out!
Well that's it for now... Have a good week!
