When we first thought of doing a blog... we were wondering what we would post on it?!
Especially since there is such a large footprint of those family members blogging before us!
We were thinking there could be general musings, possibly tips that we've found useful and would like to share... and maybe some knowledge along the way that we'd like to pass along...
Today we have a word of the day!
It comes from looking over legal paperwork more recently... some may know it some may not...
Our first comment was "what the heck does that mean?" when we saw the word...
appurtenances..... so here's what Webster online had to say..
ap pur te nance noun 14th century
1) an incidental right (as a right-of-way) attached to a principal property right and passing in possession with it. 2) a subordinate part or adjunct appurtenance of welcome is fashion and ceremony - Shakespeare 3) plural: accessory objects: apparatus appurtenances of wealth...
It's good to know that the 14th century English language still has a place in today's world... along with such slang words as twitchin', a word learned yesterday from a friend teaching HS English in Cleveland's public schools...
Enjoy!
