The ability to do so...

A thought came to mind today as work was being done in the yard...
There are truly a lot of firsts in a persons life time... more than are recorded in a baby book for sure... Some we do not relish like first car accident or first ticket for some sort of moving violation... Some firsts become chores after a while...
this week we had another one of those... We each had our turn for first time raking the leaves at our house... yes at some point I'm sure the novelty will wear off and it will become a chore... like dusting or weeding... but for now it's a monumental occasion... seriously how many folks have the ability to do so??? For one reason or another??? Of course how many couple fight over who gets to mow the lawn...
At any rate... just like other firsts when one is small... with a big smile full of pride... I raked the leaves in MY yard today ;)
