There have been a few things that have broken on us in the last few weeks... the car... the garage door opener... these things luckily have happened on nicer days! We both had our first walk to and from Sue's work due to the car problem... takes 15 to 20 min if you take your time... The current garage door and opener will be replaced in a few weeks... the trouble is the current door is wood and retaining water so it's heavier to lift to open than it was in the summer... these things we are or had been patiently waiting for... the car is done... the garage not yet but soon... and spring!
We have acquired from Marcs a 3ft inflatable egg and Sue can't wait to put it in the yard for Easter... daily when she comes home from work (unless it's pouring or freezin)she's checking the yard for new sprouts or buds or shoots! So far the Maple has buds aplenty... but not too much else... we'll keep ya posted... she's already pruned back the crazy Trumpet vine from the garage and lilac bushes in back... determined to keep the thing under control!
We're also gearing up for baseball season... since we don't have cable or a dish we're watching our variety of baseball faves on DVD... So far there's been Field of Dreams, The Rookie, and Fever Pitch... this is also how we gear up for the fishing/camping season while trapped indoors... with The Great Outdoors and next... A River Runs Through It... What can we say it's warm then cold... thunderstorms one day then snow the next... as they say ... wait 5 min... well you know the rest ...
