Vacation:Day 1

For cast - scattered showers/thunderstorms!

Well despite the weather we got a lot done and had some fun! There's a rule about being on vacation... clean the house before we go anywhere... then we come home to a clean house not a mess and continue to relax! Ahhhh

So on day 1 in the morning... S finished primer painting the 3rd bedroom upstairs...aka. the arts/crafts room while M washed floors... then the house was dusted, vacuumed and cleaned from top to bottom... laundry was done... hairs were cut... garbage to the curb since it was garbage day and a hall way was washed! All before a late lunch. Then we went off to Mentor, Ohio to get a stamp in our passport!
We stopped at the James A. Garfield National Historical site and took the tour!
The wood work in the house was absolutely beautiful as were the pieces of furniture/stained glass in kind. Then we made a quick stop for a walk at Mentor Headlands beach... incidentally the Lake Erie temp is still chilly! Waves were at 2 to 3ft and there was a small craft advisory. Then we hit the ballpark! It was buck night at Classic Park home of the Lake County Captains! Buck night means ticket are $1 dollar off and things like popcorn, pop, peanuts, beer... are $1 and hot dogs were 50 cents! The Captains are in 1st place and won the game 9 to 6 last night... ironically the last time we saw single A baseball was in Hagerstown and last night they played the Hagerstown Suns! It was a full day! And a great one!
