What a difference a Maple makes...

Maple trees are very common in the United States. They grow mostly in the North Temperate Zone. Maple trees will vary in size by species, some reaching only fifteen to twenty feet, while other can grow to seventy feet or more in height. Maples are deciduous trees, and propagate by seeds, which have wings. The seeds fall, spinning toward the ground like a helicopter.

You've all heard of the saying "what a difference a day makes"... Well what a difference a Maple tree makes... despite the for cast of rain/thunderstorms... our two maples were cut down today along with our two big bushes...(one of the bushes was half dead) We truly loved the Maple in the front yard but if it kept growing... well we love our house more... especially its foundation, roof, gutters, side walk, waterlines running to the street... you get the jist... but what an amazing difference it makes to have no tree in front! It's like a renovation! Amazingly enough the rain held out just long enough for the whole job to be done! It really was something to watch too. Even Ollie watched from the front porch... probably thinking about whether the birds will come back or not?! Now we will have to come up with something else to plant after the stumps are ground. We did keep to giant chunks of the tree itself...what they will turn into is anyones guess!
