The Mailbox...

Since we are newer home owners and have a lot of projects going on and are constantly looking for new ideas and colors for painting the bedrooms etc...we check out the houses in the neighborhood while driving and we get a lot of literature! (One of the magazines that Sue subscribes to is Fresh Home it premiered a couple of months ago and is quite good...) If there was one thing she does not like about our house it's the mail slot. It truly is not big enough for the amount of periodicals that we receive and they stick out of the slot... and well there's plenty of rain and snow here to damage the mail... and she saw the "most wonderful" mailbox on her favorite house in the neighborhood... thus the search began! Lowes and Home Depot didn't have the right ones... nor did any other hardware store etc... some neighbors had mailboxes on posts next to the steps, she was willing to do that but someone else wouldn't... Women have a certain picture in their mind of what they want their house to be. Some eclectic, some modern, some classic... some don't care. The house that is the favorite in the neighborhood is just classy and well groomed. This is the dream... of course the people that are in that house are older and retired and have a built in sprinkler system... but the details are just right for their style of house... One of the things to make your house unique, according to the magazines - at least 3 of them, is the mail box... and not liking wet magazines... the search went online and poof there it was!
