As an adult sometimes you hear things about your parents you never knew... something they said, did, etc... maybe they got into mischief... we asked an aunt a couple of years ago about our mom... she couldn't come up with a thing... however, old neighbors can tell you funny stories too... of course getting mom to admit to doing whatever it may be... that's another story...
One of my favorites is hearing about my mom say that the microwave was the greatest thing since sliced bread when my parents first bought the giant microwave oven... by the way she still has the cookbook and I think my brother has the microwave...
This thought popped in my head today... as happy thoughts and memories often do while baking cookies... Today I had my version of the greatest thing since sliced bread in the kitchen... parchment paper!
