After Easter we had a lot to do! There were doctor appointments and friends making appointments with us... it was still busy busy busy... Mike went for his first eye exam... only to be scheduled for another the following Monday... and Sue met with friends to check out some of the local flavor... hitting the West Park Station and the new Mexican restaurant Si Senor!
Also we've been starting the yard work... raking, fertilizing, purchasing plants and Mike won the 1st mow of the season... only because Sue was at work at the time!
Happily last years shrubs are coming in nicely... two new weigela have been purchased for the back yard. We're waiting just a little longer to propagate the forsythia from Mom and Dads yard.... and plant the new shrubs... the white lilac has been relocated... the garden has been limed and rotated once to work in the egg shells and coffee grounds... so we're getting there...
We have the vegetables growing in our basement 3 tomatoes 2 green peppers and a cucumber that's good for pickling. (we might give it a go, who knows)
We went out looking at doors and rocks this past weekend and came home with 2 new additions to the plant family... a clematis and a new rose the Disneyland Rose for the gap in the rose bed (official rose of the Disneyland Resorts).
Currently Sue's working on killing the areas of crab grass... any tips would be appreciated!
The indoor projects have also begun... more painting to do ya know...
