Goodbye...

It is difficult to say goodbye to something you love... whether it be a person, place or thing... We chose to say our goodbye yesterday... on our 11th Anniversary we said goodbye to our church. St Wendelin has been our home for more than 11 years... it has been home for 5 generations to our family... "it's just a building" they say which is true... the "people" make up the church they say... which is also true... I think Bishop Pilla had the only comforting thought at the 107th anniversary... St Wendelin will live on in our hearts and our happy memories... St Wendelin will live on through us... St Wendelin has been at the center of so many events in our lives... Baptisms, Communions, Confirmations, Weddings, Anniversaries, Funerals, Ice Cream Socials and Holidays... Our family should be so fortunate to have what appears to be millions of stories... St Wendelin will live on for a very long time... as long as those memories are shared..
I encourage you to share them. While saying goodbye is hard... very hard... I think we are fortunate to have been a part of something so great!
