Maybe its the egg shells or coffee grounds... both of which are supposed to be good for a garden... as nourishment and bug repellent... I don't know... all of a sudden we've plants coming up that are not perennial and were yanked out/died last year! Potatoes and Strawberries... we've a rogue garden! Well the potatoes were again yanked out... and yes there were little potatoes forming already we just don't have the room! The strawberries have been kept... they apparently have snuggled up with the air conditioner for protection and have flowers and little green berries already! I have a feeling it's to be another bizarre garden season!
On the bright side the new weigela are in and flourishing! The weigela that were planted last year are full of beautiful flowers! The Disneyland rose is getting adjusted to its surroundings... the white liatra are poking their little heads out as well... and the grass continues to come in... not as fast as we'd like! Soon we'll propagate some forsythia... but we're still having some cold nights! Last night all the newbies were under the cover of a paper bag... looked like they were trick or treating!
Get out there and have some fun! Green acres is the place to be...farm living is the life to me...fresh air!
