Ugly door

As many of you homeowners know there are things about your house that you just wish to change... even if you truly love your house. One of those things for me was changed over the weekend! Yay! With JR's help and guidance the front entry door was improved! Our door for those that have not seen it is great, we would not want to replace it. It has leaded glass and is a nice rugged door that fits the house. Its hardware is old and beautiful and if you replaced it today it would be expensive. However, the door had some weird stuff on it that made it look... well, ugly up close. So this weekend in between the insulation and the spare room project it was stripped, sanded, stained,rehung and is currently drying from the application of poly urethane. It looks MUCH better! YAY! Now it looks old rugged and something from a Harry Potter movie - not ugly at all!
