Here we find ourselves approaching the Holiest time of the year... have you bought your tuna yet? Are you enjoying the commercials for buy one fish get one free? Or how about McDonald's new item Fish Bites??? I think that was a sentiment I had as a youth - fish? BITES! At my last place of employment when I went to lunch during lent it was humorous to hear over the earpiece of our radios "here fishy fishy". All in good fun!
Something happened yesterday that has certainly changed the scheme of conversation for all Catholics I'm sure. The Pope as chosen to resign, at the Holiest time of the year no less... and did you hear we "might" have a new Pope by Easter?! This is curious. I'm sure he has his reasons, poor man has a lot to deal with. If anyone thinks their job has its bad days, imagine his bad days! Did anyone see what natural phenomenon happened after the Pope resigned? Lightening hit the Vatican, more than once within hours. Not something that came across the sky casually... a direct hit... (see right)
So when you're thinking you're having a bad work day, think of the Pope...it's not really that bad now is it?!
Now go buy some tuna! www.campbells.com for the tuna noodle casserole recipe! Have a HAPPY LENT!
